Why Mediate?

  • It is indisputable that nearly all cases will be settled prior to trial (In excess of 90% of cases). Mediation provides an efficient and early mechanism to achieve settlement.

  • Even if a dispute does not settle in the initial mediation session it is often useful to identify information that must be gathered or exchanged to pave the way to successful mediation.

  • It is beneficial for parties because there is a time in most cases where their return on each dollar spent and minute consumed results in a diminished return.

  • It is beneficial for lawyers because satisfied clients who truly feel that their best interests have been protected, both financially and emotionally, often become a reliable source of repeat business and referrals.

  • Parties who actively participate in negotiations (such as in mediation) have a much greater satisfaction with the outcome of the legal process.
